INTERWEAVE: a group art exhibition

Saturday, September 15 at 12.00PM | By The Working Capitol

We’re celebrating the newest addition to our Keong Saik campus, The Working Capitol on Neil Road, with a group art exhibition in its ground floor.

We’ve invited 8 visual artists with diverse practices to respond to the raw, untreated space and now, we’re inviting you to be the first to see the results.

Join us for Opening Night on Friday, 14 September, from 7 – 10 PM.

There’ll be performance art by Nhawfal Juma’at, an artist-guided tour by Ben Yap, and Mee Rebus courtesy of Yunos and Family and their pop-up push cart. Drinks will also be available.

INTERWEAVE is an attempt to explore non-conventional art spaces in Singapore, a breakaway from the traditional white-cube gallery. The title refers to the cross-disciplinary nature of the exhibit, as artists conceptualise and present works that are informed by different discourses and media and yet generative and cohesive in their response to the site.

The exhibition will run until Friday, 12 October.

Opening hours:
12PM – 7PM (Mon – Sun)

Participating artists:
Ben Yap | Ivan David Ng | Leroy Sofyan | Michael Lee
Nhawfal Juma’at | Ong Si Hui | Qamarul Asyraf | Zulkhairi Zulkiflee
